I am a research microbiologist focused on the development of new products and technologies for the microalgae industry. My approach includes photoautotrophic systems as well as the less-traditional mixotrophic and heterotrophic systems. I am interested in using microbial systems for the production and transformation of bioactive products. This includes studying the type of "stress". My most recent research in photoautotrophy and mixotrophy resulted in the development of two novel and successful products: Alkaline water (beverage)and formidable (cosmetic products), my Ph.D. thesis was focused on microalgae-based wastewater treatment and its residue application.
